Blockchain and Gaming

in #bitcoin7 years ago (edited)

Gaming and blockchain is a marriage born in heaven - items in games can be tracked using blockchain technology and traded with safety and transparency. Problem is - if this is so good, why isn't it adopted yet? In this video I talk about the main hurdles in Blockchain adoption and how we can possibly overcome then.

Dude yes, gaming on the blockchain sounds right. Fun too of course. Thanks for your info on this.

I'm really glad you brought this up. For months now, I've been trying to convert my wife from Spacebook to Steemit. So far, no dice. I ask her "why on Earth not?". She says (in a whiny baby voice), "because I love the stupid little games on Spacebook and I can't live without them". She even spends real money on those ridiculous wanna be slot machines and spends hours playing them every day. I just don't get it, lol. If I want to gamble real money, I'll hit the real casino and have a few free ($100) beers while I'm at it.

But, yeah, I've been wondering a lot lately if introducing those stupid little games onto Steemit would be possible. And if so, why has it not been done yet? I know there are many people who use Steemit who could easily pull this off. Hell, this could pave the way for mass adoption of Steemit. I know my wife would finally make the switch.

Didnt knw you worked for gaming. Thanks for sharing!

Why hasn't there been a game built where you get paid for playing (like you get paid for content in steem) gamers will invest real money to buy weapons armor gear in a good game like wow. It would blow up huge!

First game to do this I'm going all in on!

Well you're in luck!
We're working on a game called Hash Rush, which turns cryptocurrency mining into a real time strategy game! Check us out here on steemit or at our homepage

I've been dreaming of this for a long time too. I can imagine the first big mopg to implement there own blockchain will do very well!

funfair ico i have high hopes for

Two sides of the same coin. No better way than to use virtual currency to pay for virtual items.

Would be cool if you could earn in game purchases with GPU mining, while not playing said game.

Yea, huge potentials in this market. Especially if a project can find a funding source to span across all platforms.
Bitcrystals was such a waste of time. I thought that had potential when i heard of it, but then they never expanded their games.

Gaming needs crypto, gamers need crypto and not the other way.

gaming is one of the spaces that cryptos are going to find their most activity, i am presently looking for a crypto that is geared specifically towards gaming

Check out XP there website is https://www.xpcoin.io/ I just got into them a while ago.

Good article, thanks. Btw, how do you do your cool graphics?

We're much close

Actually there are a lot of ICOs that are offering to implement Blockchain into Gaming. And they are quite successful at the moment. Thanks for sharing your review and your thoughts about this issue.

XP is very cheap (right now) and in the gaming coin market. check it out at https://www.xpcoin.io/
