So the average bitcoin transaction fee dropped below $10 for the first time this year on the 27th on Jan 2018 to now $7.14 as of today.
Is this a result of the ongoing implementation of the lightning network?? (see pic)
It could well be, as the average bitcoin transaction price is actually rising currently stood at $95000.
Current lightning network nodes are now up to 1500 with over 5000 payment channels.
This is up from 200 nodes just a week ago!
So will we be able to pay for a coffee in bitcoin again so!? I hope so. I'd like to see the fees negligible. I just want a coffee ffs. Will the trend continue? What are your thoughts?
