Well usually it's when btc pumps/dumps alts dump but then when btc is sideways alts pump. However in this case they didn't pump in the last 3 days when btc consolidated but dumped. Which is kind of new. But yea in theory you're right

In the past a bitcoin bull run was often followed by an altcoin bull run. Perhaps it will repeat again. Though, while bitcoin is actually running, sometimes it is painful for the alts.
