The biggest holders have probably lost their passwords ;)
So basically it's the idea that sometimes the boat you miss is more important than the one you take.
LOL! No I doubt that one. Responsible people are good at saving passwords. People who are not impulsive and who are patient are not making many silly mistakes that will cost them all of their BTC.
Around 4million or around 25% of all bitcoins in circulation are now reckoned to be lost. I was running a full node and almost forgot my password so it could happen to anyone. I think the stakes have been raised sufficiently now that most people will have a good backup plan.

I half agree with you, in fact holding bitcoin will be very profitable for the long run.
there is another approach that I am actually using not only with bitcoin but with many coins in a daily basis using technical analysis I'm able to make profit buying at dip and selling with profit. It's risky but using the right information, the most of time I'm making good profits in a regular basis.

No crypto-dividend earnings that way. It pays to hold. The risk is when you "Do something" with your BTC like you suggest. Holding is doing nothing.
I agree that holding the right coins pays and it's more secure for the long run.
what I was trying to explain is that am using another approach that make me money faster, it's risky but with high ability of risk management and the right information it pays as well.
