A community member made a fantastic video, just passing it along here for everyone since often we see questions in regards to ARK pop up. I am happy to answer any questions you may have as well as a strong advocate of ARK. Background check - I have held ARK since before the boom and do work in the technology sector, so not a non-technical shill, but a community advocate.
Quick summary about ARK!
ARK is delegated proof of stake (DPoS) where 51 delegates are able to forge blocks.
ARK has a very easy to use desktop wallet where you can vote for the delegates (you can open the delegate monitor from the wallet to view the current 51 delegates) which in turn will earn you additional ARK daily/weekly (depending on the delegate) if they are in the top 51 and you have ARK in your wallet. Roughly 10 percent return yearly.
You only need to have ARK in your wallet and vote once to earn ARK from your delegate, and you do not need to leave the client open.
ARK will be the smart bridge that allows interactions between block chains. If you're here, you already know that block chain technology is the future. With that being the case, they will want to interact with each other. What those interactions are, time will only tell! You'll need ARK to do this.
ARK will be easily cloned to create your own block chains. A startup could fork ARK And be compatible with the smart bridge immediately.
ARK is fast (8 second blocks) and scale-able.
ARK has a solid team, with a great social media presence and clear communication
ARK will be supported on Ledger September 1
ARK is releasing ACES (ARK Contract Execution Services) soon, which will allow you to deploy smart contracts to Ethereum using the ARK smart bridge.
ARK is available on Bittrex
