There are two types of sales. 1. Selling the portfolio for fiat and never investing in crypto again. 2. Selling as a day trader.

I have sold half of my small investment portfolio on a way down and it dropped even further. I am doing some day trading and selling some of it gave me the liquidity which earns me again of daily fluctuations and price differences again keeping me in an earning loop.

I am sure that the big part of these sales is happening for the second reason as it allows to earn more than passively waiting for the price to climb back up to the point where i bought it when it was nearly all time high. And when it hits 5000 again i will end up making more than just waiting for the price to restore.

But everybody has their own reasons i suppose.
