It's Thursday morning and you've just set some water to boil in order to make a cup of coffee or tea. While water is heating up, you open your laptop and start your day scroling through some beautiful artsy images on some Tumblr-esque site.
Next you move to Facebook and see that aunt Mary got that bermanese cat she always wanted. Kudos to her! Your highschool friend gave birth to a beautiful girl. You start to feel a bit old.
Hop on to Twitter to check the latest news. You stumble upon a tweet by your hacker friend Ross about something called "Bitcoin". You click the link and read a bit more about it. It sounds mildly interesting and you decide that you might as well let your laptop on while you're at work in order to "mine" this so called digital money. You think that the term "mining" is somewhat weird used for something that is digital.
So, you mine bitcoin for a few months with your laptop while you're at work. After 3-4 months, you decide to buy a new PC that you'll be using only for mining. You leave the PC on 24/7. You reach the end of 2010 with about 1000 bitcoins.
Fast forward 7 years later.
You return home with your brand new Porsche (because Lambos are just silly). You still haven't decided what small private island to buy in order to make it your home. Life is pretty sweet right now.
☺
Sometimes and in some situations, timing and being open to trying new things is everything.
i wish i knew about bitcoins back than
Don't we all?! ☺
