According to Coindesk, the Korean electronics company Samsung is working on their own coin or token on the Ethereum network.
Their source quoted:
“Currently, we are thinking of private blockchain, though it is not yet confirmed. It could also be public blockchain in the future, but I think it will be hybrid – that is, a combination of public and private blockchains.”
After completion of the blokchain development, they may launch Samsung coin:
“The market expects Samsung Coin to come out, but the direction has not yet been decided.”
As these seem to be quotes from a person with insider knowledge, Samsung has yet to confirm these statements. All we know is that the move of regular companies into the blockchain is a fact. With more reports of gigantic companies testing the waters of this new technology, including BWM, Airbnb and Facebook.
May we dare to speculate, that a Samsung airdrop would be amazing for the users of their devices?
