No one can shake the king of bitcoin!
Transaction fee has been the currency of the most talked-about topic, however, as the New Year is coming, the currency supporters seem to have received a gift, because thanks to isolate witness Segwit, currency trading fee down at last!
Trading in bitcoin has halved from its December peak.
After the madness of the last quarter of 2017, bitcoin's transaction fees seem to be as rational as the price of bitcoin.
According to Bitcoinfees. Info, according to data from the six blocks in the trading of average cost is $15.79, trading average cost over the next three blocks up a bit, $16.5, down another block transaction costs $17.29.On exchanges like Bitfinex, average withdrawals have fallen to nearly $14.
While the $14-16 deal is seen by many as a big deal, the cost of trading up to $30 in December has fallen by more than half.
More and more bitcoin wallets are beginning to support the Segwit.
Over the past 24 hours, Localbitcoins.com and BTC.com have added separate witness support to their bitcoin wallets.Mining pool and bitcoin wallet provider BTC.com wrote in a blog post:"As a BTC.com wallet user, when you send bitcoins to another address, you will experience a drop in transaction fees and a faster transaction time."
BTC.com has added a separate witness function to mobile wallet and desktop wallet apps.In addition, ocalbitcoins.com, a P2P exchange and online wallet provider, has also begun to support the separation.
However, Coinbase does not apply the isolation witness, and there is no formal technical plan to introduce segregation witness.Brian Armstrong, Coinbase's chief executive, seems to be more interested in the Dapp browser, which makes many Coinbase users unhappy.
Will bitcoin be cheaper in 2018?
There is no denying that the cost of bitcoin transactions may still be a hot topic in 2018.At present, the lightning network has already passed the field test, so we certainly hope to some earlier than initially expected to launch outside the chain extension solution, and thus lower fees for all people.

They have? the average is still showing up at about $31 or in lower cases about $18 until lighting is launched etc. I don't see the fees going down the amount of transactions needs to be brought down bitcoin is not built for every day buying and selling.
