Many countries all over the world such as China, South Korea, and even Japan have attempted to control Bitcoin, but its decentralized nature is simply unstoppable. Even after all of China's bans on ICOs Bitcoin has still gone up to 4,000 again, and here's why. Bitcoin is more than just a currency, it is an equity and a social network as well. The more bitcoin is used and the more Bitcoin is circulating in its ecosystem, the higher its value is gonna be. Nobody can control people from using this as they please, there are billions of people on the planet. How do you think the authorities of the world are going to maintain that? They simply cannot. That is why the price is still rising, and that is why Bitcoin holds so much value. Roughly, at least. This will only continue to grow as more and more people get into the mining process, and with more people also getting onto exchanges as well. I hope this gives you a better understanding of what Bitcoin really is.
