All good except that last part. Voting is an expression of preference and being a taxpayer is being a victim. Don't blame the victims! Yes, I know we can all rearrange our lives to pay less in taxes, but without withdrawing from the economy, you can't help but at least contribute to them.

A good book that actually addresses the issue of voting is a book called "The Red Amendment." It's a legal treatise put forth purporting that the the 16th amendment is illegal and why. Chapter 11 was kind of tough to chew through. The author could have done a better job at separating ideologies through the book to keep it clear -- but it's interesting research nonetheless.
