We set off Sunday and arrived at Gatwick 6.30pm, 1hr 20min before flight. Walked to terminal and had 10 minutes sit down before boarding plane, sweet!
Flight was a bit cramped for a tall person but wifey found it OK, she's 5ft f-all. We took a packed lunch and water which was fine. Got to air bnb apartment around 1am, unpacked basics, had a tea and slept until 07.30. Drove to Hilton and got there at 8.50am to find coaches were full. Lots of people from all parts of the globe were hanging around, all unsure what was happening and we waited for another bus which arrived 9.20.
Driver then took us back to airport perimeter where the installation was located - damn! Had I known that I could have booked accommodation nearby and saved all the travel time and car hire.
Waited for entry to complex, needed a wee but no provision for comfort break outside complex, for half hour, .....and so looking forward to getting answers. Unfortunately those answers were not available at site, but was given a primary contact to talk with later.
We were shipped off to Blue Lagoon for lunch which was very enjoyable and I took a dip in the mineral spa waters. Luckily for us we shared the lunch table with Sean Lynch a Canadian BitClub investor and he was able with a few clicks on my iPad to show me how to find my income from mining in the various wallets and how to adjust mined coin preference. Phew! what a relief to find all was well and had I known the access tips before hand I could have saved the cost and time of the visit.
But I am a happy bunny now and looking forward with enthusiasm rather than despondent with despair.
Go BitClub!!
