Today is my Steemit ONE YEAR BIRTHDAY! :)

twelve months ago today I signed up to this platform, I kinda knew it was coming up but I also was reminded this morning by the account @anniversary and this lovely post — https://steemit.com/steemit/@anniversary/20171108t030021211z-celebration-post - what a great idea for an account, must start thinking of some automatic, automated, this day in history type empowerment engine type things as it seems that retention and keeping people blogging is something much needed!

On this day 1 year ago, 164 joined but only these 11 SteemIt users are still active (post content). To keep this community going, it´s important that people like the ones we celebrate to day keep hanging around.

It’s a massive reminder as to why I wanted to go to steemfest this year, I thought I signed up a few weeks before steemfest 1 but if the date was the same as the previous year I must have signed up literally a few days before steemfest so saw all these people having fun at the event — wow, what a reflection period for me to go through, my one year steemit anniversary and achieving something I set out to do a year ago, attend a steemfest - that was my entry point, the fest — I couldn’t be more happy right now to have connected with my fellow brothers and sisters of the steemitverse.

I was going to go out and celebrate and have a breakfast but @dayleeo brought me back from the brink about having a big breakfast and instead swap that out for a small meal deal and a little cake, it’s also @dayleeo anniversary in a few days time too because she signed up a few days after me, I’m so glad she did and saw it through with me — we have been through a lot together in such a short period of time and I’m chuffed she trusted me about bitcoin, upwork and steemit. I’m glad that I wasn’t wrong on them, it’s cemented our relationship because of it — the queen has CRUSHED upwork in the last year and I hope to do the same going into 2018.

after steemfest 2 I’m really invested in this community now, I might have been a little late to the party in missing the first one but I feel like I’ve really met some people that can be friends either locally or virtually as we all move forward together in life, we are gonna need those nodes in the network trust me moving forward, lots of change is coming down the pipes for all of us and those that work together, club together, build out our ideas together will flourish the most in years to come.

I had a fire day today, me and @dayleeo went into town, we got some new stuffs for the van to make sleeping easier and managed to fill up the food coffers with items as well, feels like we have things in stock for at least the next week, it’s nice to be ahead on these things, feeling that we are making strides every damn day just recently and soon it’s gonna be lock down mode for course making — I’m just set on getting the content creators course finished up — https://steemit.com/steemit/@teamhumble/the-steem-amplify-project-update-links-to-the-first-13-episodes-live

I had to celebrate this year in style (ok, I realise it was an excuse to get a cake and stuff but hey) events in life are important. Finding you guys, playing with a social blockchain, learning about crypto like I have in the last year, getting money for the time and effort doing the stuff I love, it’s huge, like really really huge and for someone like me that has suffered with mental health issues it really brings me joy, so thank you steemians for accepting me into your fold. I really really do love all those that have reached out the hand of friendship or typed a comment on any of my blogs over the last year.

Now, time to finish this cake off.. .. ;)
