Tomorrow is my birthday !!

I will turn 38 tomorrow and I feel great and blessed. Normally, I don't really do anything for my birthday, but this year I decided to have some people over to celebrate. And it was great.

The day started of on the right foot, with the gift my wife and kids got me. I recently 'decided' to start using Affinity Designer from Serif, to do all my digital design & logo work in. They (serif) released this awesome book, filled to the brim with all these in-depth articles with explanation how Affinity Designer was used, with Tips & Tricks. Looking forward to learning my recently acquired app a lot better.

In the afternoon, the guests arrived (luckily no sooner, since I spent all morning making burger patties from some proper meat I bought.) My brother @s3rg3 and his family brought me another VERY fine gift. A nice gift package of Dewar's 12yo blended scotch by the name of The Ancestor. It came with a measuring cup for the wisky and the water, and a small bottle of Pitilie Burn Water. It tastes GREAT.

Then when my other buddies @exyle & @bennierex were here, they gave me yet ANOTHER great gift. (this is also in a very small part one of the reasons I decided to celebrate. I initiated giving beer packages as a gift from our BBG group members when @exyle had his birthday (he got a 'Brewery' Package (all beers from the same brewery. Then when @bennierex had his birthday, we gave him an IPA package (all IPA style beers. SO you see, I **had** to give them an opportunity to return the favour 😊. They came through with a very rewarding 'Dutch' package, with all dutch brewed beers. Looking forward to drinking those !

It was a great birthday party with homemade burgers from the BBQ, and @bennierex's bride-to-be even made Tiramisu for desert. We talked about Steemit a lot amongst the four of us (me @eqko, @exyle, @s3rg3 and @bennierex. Amongst other things, we came up with some ideas on how to do more with the platform (or for it actually) More on that SOON
