Venezuela is the sixth country in the world with the greatest diversity of birds, with 1420 species. Its capital city, Caracas, is full of parks and green areas that serve as a refuge for many species of birds, including many macaws, hummingbirds, tanagers, and many other species. However, it is worrying that this diversity of birds is decreasing more and more, probably due to the decrease in green areas. For this reason it is necessary to study the behavior of urban birds and the effect of human disturbances on them.
In a study carried out last year in the city, I found that while there is more vegetation in an area, there is a greater number and diversity of birds . for this reason we must preserve the wooded zones and parks, only this way we will protect the diversity of the cities. In the picture we see the Green honeycreeper, a bird that live in the mountain of Caracas (https://cdn.steemitimages.com.!DQmeeU2FBP9ER3CE477VVRoCHfp5TriYRwpuZ9LHxoNHzKs/Chlorophanes%20spiza.jpg)
