Bluethroat in lower Austria

In spring I was really successful in bird photography again. Stefan and I visited Lower Austria to the border of Czech Republic and Slovakia. Since this is the location where the Iron Curtain was there is still a lot of untouched nature. Due to different habitats and a lot of woodland, farmland and the water of the river and some ponds there are also a lot of habitats that encourage different bird species to live there. This is why this place is one of my favorite spots for bird photography here in Austria. On the farmland and the meadows a lot of birds of prey can be found. Birds that prefer reed are found near the ponds.

This Bluethroat was sitting on top of a tree and it appeared twice within several hours. I am very happy that I managed to take several pictures and a video of this bird since it is very seldom in Austrian and difficult to find.

The fact that Bluethroat is rarely seen and difficult to find in Austrian made you sound like a good nature caller. The birds might have known you for a while when you started taking photographs of them. Well, it is not backed up by any facts but I heard nature knows who tend them. We might be just shocked soon you got a rare sight of a phoenix. Haha. Nice shots @florian-glechner. I love it. I'm also a photographer but still in the making.ooking forward to some of your soonest photographs.

Thank you very much for the flowers!

Wow the colors of the Bluethroat are unreal 😍 amazing shots.

the angle of the pictures was not the best but I cannot tell the bird how to pose :-)
