When life is tough, it is also hard for those around you...

I just started to think about how it is hard to be around me when life is hard. What does that mean? When I have a lot to do and pressure is big, then it also means that I am stressed and I am like a squeezed orange. Now, if the orange is good, that might not be a problem, but if you also have some temper inside and some anger, then it might easily come forth as you are squeezed.

And yes, that is often something both your spouse and your kids can experience. What you can easily tolerate during a holiday as your kids make noise and dance around, suddenly becomes a noise and activity that you cannot stand and bear with on a day when you are stressed and you have lots of tasks, and you need to concentrate.

That is a normal part of life, but it is worth thinking about it and preparing for it, and also telling your loved family members about it. Why is that? You might want to ask for excuse before things happen, just to let them know that you are vulnerable to this and that they should understand what is happening if it should happen.

But, you should also try to see the signals yourself, and maybe go somewhere else before you explore, or have a keyword in which your kids understand that they need to calm down explicitly whenever you say "orange-bomb" or some other keyword.

This is all about knowing yourself and understanding yourself, and making a life in your presence as great as possible.
