cool post. Gd was is and always will be. Jewish doctrine essentially says that Gd is everything and should not be defined in any kind
of single materialistic body; including a human form. In ancient hebrew
Messiah means moshiach; simply meaning anointed one. All Jewish kings were moshiach or the "messiah" who were anointed with holy oil. It is also important to note that Jews still believe in the messiah but it is not believed that messiah has arrived yet. There are also prerequisites in order to be identified as the messiah. One important sign is the messiah must ingather all Jews from all corners of the earth, bring down the temple (according to the prophecies regarding Isaiah, Ezekiel etc). Also there needs to be peace on earth under one kingdom under Gd ruled by the son of David's bloodline. This is why Jesus could not be the messiah according to Jewish law. He did not fulfill these prerequisites.
