@officialfuzzy, can you share how I might obtain a premium Bitshares account? I am not sure how or why accounts with alphabetic characters are different, but can you direct me? It just reminds me of signing up for a Yahoo! account about 15 years ago when everyone got stuck with goofy_guy_452. That's not for me. Thanks.
I am also interested in the whaleshares program, but it's a bit of a stretch with the instructions to use the chatroom. What is its purpose again?
Thanks fuzzy, your single upvote just paid out 42 sbd, and it was a bit of a surprise. Thanks for the tip, I do mean to get with ash and get something going. Your upvote may pay for the upgrade. :)
An interesting thing has happened to me this weekend: I had 3 people wanting to invest tens of thousands into Bitshares. They have cash but don't know how to go about it to invest it into Bitshares!?! Maybe it has reached global unconsciousness and it is rising to the surface!?!
Yesterday i bought bitshares worth $100.i hope in the coming days the price keeps going up. Bitshares, ethereum and steem are some of my favorite crypto currencies at the moment.
Eth and BTC cannot scale. BitShares already has the total txs of both ethereums and is about to be coming up on bitcoins in the coming year or so. So yeh I dont hold shit in eth because it is vaporware (sadly). XRP (Ripple) i am sure will make money but i do not philosophically support it. Lisk is BitShares 1.0 rewritten by someone in javascript.
BTS and Steem each have more total tx than both eths, and combined bts and steem beet bitcoin in the total number of tx the chain has processed. Add to it any other number of bells and whistles and its hard to beat.
I dont give advice but be very careful holding most everything in ETH and BTC.
The market participants are getting smarter everyday.
P.S. if you want to invest in Ethereum that does what it is supposed to, EOS is coming and it will show people how amateurish and novel Eth is. ;)
P.P.S please dont take this as being mean or hateful. I'd just like to see Eth actually work and it doesnt. BTS, Steem, Peerplays and soon EoS will...
If you look at all cryptocurrencies they are very volatile. In a longterm chart though these spikes and dips dont look so volatile. My personal and not legally binding opinionis that those who fear volatility should follow the 1% rule. Buy crypto with 1% of your income. Then dont think about it...
Be a longterm hodler...thats what i do. Then build value inside the ecosystem ;)
That's good advice about your 1% rule. Especially if you buy a cryptocurrency like Peercoin that actually makes you 1% just by holding them. :) Now you have 2% pretty fast 1% again, but in a different way (Peercoin lets you mint approx 1% of your holdings each year by minting them)
Yeh...Peercoin has a pretty strong place in my heart but note I'm biased. The creator Sunny King and another guy who is a really good friend of mine come from that community and I believe beyond bitcoin is the only place in crypto media where they did pop up :D
But Yes....In short, without Proof of Stake, there wouldnt be Delegated Proof of Stake or any of the number of iterations that exist today. So right on bro ;)
I just learned about this pod cast via @glitterfart's post. I can't believe I managed to miss this over the last year. I've got so much to learn about cryptocurrency, and I'm looking forward to doing so. Thanks for putting this together @officialfuzzy. Truly.
Love your talks about witnesses on the BitShares network and the testnet. It would be very beneficial for the network to maybe reward new user for supporting the testnet and maybe get them into the kinks of the network.
It will make them earn a reputation amongst the network and when they finally become a witness on the real network after a few months you can look back and say that this user are really good and proven to be able to support the network.
The fact that you guys had a witness node with 8000+ missed blocks because it was misconfigured in the beginning will make people have less fait in them, but also on the network.

@ash is a good guy who makes tuts and expects you to use them ;)

Thanks a bunch for the updates, as always.
All for one and one for all! Namaste :)
I followed @offcialfuzzy's advise last year! and loving it!
Rly? Now I dont give legally binding investment advice, but im assuming you bought some of the tokens that have come onto our show.

Love reading your blog @officialfuzzy 👊🔝🔥
im debating if i should invest in bitshares.
I have made a bunch of money with Factom, now i'm on XRP, LISK, BTS, & Steem for trading but i keep my money in ETH & BTC

Exciting times.
BTS and STEEM for me as well, :)
Going to hold Bitshares for long term, bought a few few weeks ago and glad I did!
great info, cheers
bitshares to the moon :D
i own some dude..
me to :D
bitshares were very volatile recently , do you think now is a good time to buy?

Yeah I like to buy and forget too , thank you for the reply.

Yes, I screwed up the math on that one... It's still 1% in a different way.
I was focused on 1% minting rewards from Peercoin. But the 1% Fuzzy was talking about, was 1% of your total income.
They're both 1%, but not directly proportional fractions, so you can't add them to make 2%... :)
Oops, my bad. Thanks for the correction @lexiconical

I'm glad i found this info... more information is always better than lack of information :)

Is it worth to buy and hold BTS for the very long term?
