I too like Litecoin. As the price is low compared to Bitcoin, it has more upside potential (just like a penny share).

BitShares - it's currently a central one in graphene ecosystem. It allows me to make more money by borrowing derivatives, and it's a DEX of it's own! And awesome graphene tec! Mmm... nice
STEEM, of course!
Why? Well, I'm very, very new to the world of cryptocurrencies. I've known about them for a while. I've tried to understand them in the past. Bitcoin has always been an interesting concept for me, but I've never had anything to invest in cryptocurrencies. I can barely keep my cats fed, let alone buy a Bitcoin!
Enter Steemit.
I can invest my time and effort instead of money I don't have. That time and effort can earn me STEEM, which I can accumulate and cash out or invest.
STEEM allows me to invest what I have to earn what I don't have.
For those reasons, I don't think my favorite cryptocurrency will change anytime soon.
NAV Coin - Touched 50 cents this last week, bought at 3.5 cents and still holding it all. They have an upcoming software release which turns all Changelly.com coins into anonymous coin transactions through the NAV coin system. After that, very likely they will do Anonymous DAPPS. 2nd favorite is DASH, will get to 1k eventually here.
ETH, no doubts.
I second this vote for favorite coin. I love ETH
I am puzzled with such a low result for ETH. It dwarfs any coin if you consider the overall potential.
Ardor.
Ardor is a better technology (blockchain 2.0). It solves the scalability problem and It makes easier to create your own chain (child chain).

As a developer I can see many companies/startups using Ardor as a platform for their own blockchain business in the near future .

I used to love ripple but polybius maybe stealling my heart with the option of being paid dividends at the end of the year on how the bank performs.
The only issue I have with ripple is it is designed for banks to use and has little utility for the average person. I consider that a trade token vs hold / use token.
Hmmm well with that in mimd i would say antshares but watch SNT, litecoin is pretty steady and is usually my buy in coin with coinbase.

Wow thats hard for me, I haven't really fell in love with just one yet. But as of lately I'm very curious and paying close attention to reddcoin. I'm really into coins that offer good ecosystems around them like steem. Plus how people can get rewarded....through social media or networks is a great concept.
Bitcoin. Other currencies think they can compete but ethereum is showing that once you reach the status of bitcoin you face the same scaling problems bitcoin has. Bitcoin is ahead and can also implement smart contracts with time so I still stand by the gold standard of crypto.
Bitbay. Because of this.
im a big fan of golem particularly, good team behind it, great concept, i think golem is gonna explode in the not so distant future.

Great idea 4 a post! Gives you an inside look to why some decisions are being made. Being that STEEM is my favorite & thats a boring pick I'm going to go with 1 of my sleeper picks...LGD, the coin for Legends Gentlemen's Club. My reasons for this is as follows :

This is a loaded question... Favorite for what purpose? I am excited to see where the Swarm City team takes SWT and decentralized peer to peer commerce. I think it has a great concept a will have a high degree of utility, and with the store front release will create many opportunities for people who don't currently use cryptocurrency.

My favorite is ANS, it is a wild one going up to 15 or so plummeting to about 5 and now at around 9.50. If you understand what they are doing you will know why to invest. It is the bidu to amazon.... It is China's darling crypto and there are a lot of Chinese :-) Do your own research !
