This post is a response to my one word prompt for inspiration —BREATHE.
If we recorgnize Breathing for what it is, —the most basic activity of life; then, we will stop undermining it's importance.
We are able to breathe without any conscious effort and that is why we easily forget to breathe.
Every single cell in our body needs the oxygen from our breathing to function. And that is why the subconscious shallow breathing that keeps us going is not actually enough to keep us energized.
Subconscious and shallow breathing limits our oxygen supply to our brain cells, giving increase to feelings of stress, anxiety and lack of concentration; these in turn, result in lack of coordination and low productivity.
MINDFUL BREATHING is our conscious effort to draw in deeper, fuller breath. This supplies our cells with more oxygen, slows down our heart rate and lends that calming effect to our mind and body.
Drawing in a deeper breath would make you exhale more thoroughly the waste gas that shallow breathes do not thoroughly remove.
So, friends, as you go about your daily and weekly activities always remember to BREATHE.
- Start your day with deep breathing.
- End your day with deep breathing.
- At any point during your day, always remember that Mindful breathing can help you calm your nerves and ease your stress.
- When you're having difficulty sleeping, Mindful breathing maybe just what you need to calm your nerves and give you the rest you need.
- Breath through your mouth if necessary, the aim is to get as much air as possible into and out of your lungs.
Never again should you forget to Breathe! Deep Breathes!
