I am at Seaport Village waiting to see if any of the local Steem folks are going to show up.
The surroundings are beautiful as you would expect at a place designed to attract and entertain tourists from all over the world.
There are pots and beds with flowers all over.
Of course, I started to take pictures - just as I had done earlier in my yard.
But something was different.
Yes, I know what you want to say. There were no plants many classify as weeds all over.
True. Nothing but bare soil - a fact that makes my permaculture heart cry.
But that wasn’t it. What really struck me was the complete absence of bees. Actually, of insects of all kinds.
This morning in my yard, I was accompanied in my work by the constant buzzing of some insects coming by to visit the flowers.
Hmm.
Food for thought.... And I really should have come on the Trolley as planned. Parking is going to cost an arm and a leg... #bees #insects #share2steem #steemmeetup #flowers

No bees!? I had a bee investigate what I was doing when I was using the chainsaw yesterday! Maybe it was the orange.
I was very surprised as well. They must spray something - but I don't know.
Tourists don’t like bees and such. I doubt you could find worms in that soil.
Probably not. There was certainly no mulch at all.
