Ohmconnect is a website that you can use to both save energy while earning a bit of money at the same time. The service works by connecting your utility account to their API. Then, every few days or so, they'll send you an OhmHour notification that tells you to save energy during some timeframe. If you do, you'll earn points, where 1 point = $0.01. It's not that hard to earn- just turn off your energy-gobbling appliances when there's an OhmHour, and turn them back on when you are ready. This way, you can both earn money, while saving energy at the same time!

- First, create your account using the link I posted above.
- Once you create your account and verify some information, OhmConnect will ask you to verify your utility account. You will have to sign in to your utility so that the company can track your energy use. Don't worry- OhmConnect is completely trustworthy and will not sell your info.
- Get ready for your First OhmHour! When it comes, save energy, and you'll earn points.
- Earn enough points to reach the $10 cashout minimum.
