Pirate Life Brewery

American Pale Ale

Jack Cameron and Jared Proudfoot, both Scottish immigrants, came to Australia to hone their brewing skills. Jack started at Little Creatures Brewery and Jared at the Cheeky Monkey Brewery. They eventually established the Pirate Life Brewery at Hindmarsh in Adelaide, Australia in December 2014. The first beers were released in March 2015 and all are sold in the humble 'tinnie'. Why call the brewery 'Pirate Life'?
"We believe we live our life just like a pirate would, we are care free, relaxed and brew what we want to,” says Jack.

355mL cans and on tap at selected pubs.
Drinkers Review:
I'm a massive fan of the beers from the Pirate Life brewery so I had to try this one when I came across it. Hopco is a Tasmanian hop supplier so Pirate Life brewery formed a partnership with this company to showcase NZ hops for this brew.
Essentially, this is a yummy easy drinking pale. From a tinnie, this brew pours a lovely gold with a touch of amber, with a thin white head. It tastes light sweet, with a medium bitter finish with a slightly tanginess. Initially this brew seems very hoppy, but once you get it down your gullet, it is actually a pretty well rounded brew. I enjoyed the 6 pack I had on a hot summers day, but it is not the best drop I have tasted from this brewery. Try it out for something different, but if you haven't had a Pirate Life beer, start with another from their range of delectable delights!

got one of these waiting for me in the fridge - PL normally bring the goods and hope this hits the spot!
The Pirate Life rep i meta few days ago was not impressed when i traded a Black Brewing lager and fresh ale for a can of mosaic at a beer event up in Bunbury, WA. Unfortunately id ran out of XPA's so i couldnt swing him the good stuff.
Needless to say the trade still went ahead and il be tasting the Hopco NZ Ale when @ruralbrewer decides to crack it!
the phrase 'needless to say' always cracks me up - It is Textbook Partridge!
Nice post
Not a great comment. From your reputation I am presuming you have been 'Nice Posting' all over the place and you caught the eye of a few people who 'blasted' your 'Nice Posting' comments into the shitter! If you wanna make it on here, stop dropping shit one liners on people's posts and comment something worthwhile, but thanks for stopping by and 'Nice posting' me!
It's a good post I like your post
Never had the pleasure of an authentic Aussie beer, but I do love those Australian and New Zealand hops in my homebrew when I can get them. Galaxy, Vic Secret, Nelson Sauvin, Kohatu..what's in the water down there, stuff is fire!
