RE: The gruit experiments - beer exchange beer

in #beer7 years ago

I really need to get back to homebrewing. Did ten or twelve batches a few years ago but hurt my back (unrelated to brewing) and couldn't carry five gallon car boys from the kitchen to the basement.

Physically much better now but just got out of my brewing groove and not back in to it.

Never yet tried brewing gruit. Sounds like fun though.

Gotta get back into brewing. Have only done from kits so far, need to get more equipment before trying all grain.

Cheers!

Sorry to hear about your back problems, but happy you got better now!
I'm quite new to this, have done about 8 batches in total but I'm really enjoying it and there's so many things I want to try my hand at! I've only done 1 all grain with borrowed equipment, the rest were all kits and I have the same problem with the equipment, it's quite expensive to go all grain unfortunately, but I am sure I will find some way to justify it to myself, hehe.
I might go the malt extract way as a stop gap before making the jump.
Glad to hear you're thinking about coming back to homebrewing, there's a lot of us here on steemit, which is great!
Cheers
