Here in Texas it's hot and dry in the Summer. Many people feed their bees sugar water syrup to give the bees a boost through this time. I normally hold off because I prefer not to feed something to the bees that isn't natural and normal to them. It's not that I'm sorely against it, I just prefer not to. In this video we get to see if I'm ready to feed the bees to prepare for Winter or not.

I agree with you that I would prefer to avoid feeding them something that is not natural for them, although the human collecting honey from bees is not natural. Or maybe it is? Interesting question...
