I am 36 year old over weight man who recently had a baby or more correctly my wife had a baby a month ago on June 9th 2016. And for some reason, maybe the lack of sleep I have put on 1 stone!! To be honest I haven't been in shape for years, mainly due to laziness, injuries, sitting at a desk all day and a slightly poor diet, WHAT a surprise I hear you say! Anyways after seeing some very depressing pictures of myself I have decided enough is enough.
Look at me I am a monster!!
I know its hard to look, sorry fellow steemers but it had to be done.
Luckily for me I have found two sources of information, which state that you can do very little to get the full benefit of exercise. The first is the BBC documentary, The Truth About Exercise by Michael Mosely http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01cywtq .
It states that you get the full benefits of exercise by
- Doing a little walking
- And three, Yes just 3, 20 second cycle sprints 3 times a week. Thats a grand total 3 minutes hard exercise a week, GREAT I say, I can DO that!
The other is the hilarious 4 hour body by Tim Ferriss, hes slightly egotistical but amusing. He recons that you can get in shape by just doing 1 hour per week for a month by ;
- Not eating sugar and having an high protein diet.
- Doing 70 kettle bell swings a couple times a week.
- And if you are extra keen, 1 X 15 set of airsquats, wall press ups and chest pulls every morning.
I am going to combine the two to make the laziest body transformation regime ever. I am going to use the Steemit site to document exactly what I am doing and my progress, and embarrass myself to actually DO IT, and not just procrastinate or just start the process and not finish.
The week is divided into alternating rest and workout days and a really boring diet with a special cheat day on saturday where you can eat anything and do nothing, easy Right!
And thats it. Ok lets start, it is Tuesday so according to the table I do nothing, awesome.
Ill follow your progress wish you good luck!
Thanks mate, ur support is appreciated.
Wondering how realistic the 8 hours sleep part is when you factor in the baby! Haha. Good luck, man.
