I have had this orchid for a couple months now, my mom, who has at least 10 orchids gave it to me. I thought I was doing something wrong, but it finally bloomed. It makes me super happy. It has several buds on it, so with any luck it will get several more flowers.
A couple of my other flowering houseplants have decided it is time to bloom also. It is spring in my house apparently <3

Orchids are nice flowers. Dont give up on them, they decide themselves when to bloom or not. I probably give them too much water.

I found three discarded orchid pots outside my home on the sidewalk two years ago. One bloomed white petals. I'm looking forward to see what colors the other two will be. Beautiful pic, btw. I love the freckles! <3
My grandmother had a huge flower garden I never understood it as a child. Now I most certainly do. Their silky petals appeal to the sense of touch, their aroma to the sense of smell, their color and symmetry to sight. Even taste with rose hips and others. They are a miracle. I do like orchids.
Very pretty, I bet it smells great. I need to get to the greenhouse so I can take in some pretty flowers. I am having withdraws.
Really amazing flower and it reflects that nature is an great artist, if you see those dots on the flower it reflecting as someone painted that with some kind of painting brush. Thanks for sharing this beautiful flower with us.
