Low Tide, Warm Water, and the Neat Thing Dalian Did to This Beach.
Some friends from another city came to visit and the weather was perfect for a day at the beach. Blue skies, not too much wind and the sun was actually not as scorching as it usually gets. The neat thing about this beach is it’s built under an elevated highway. It’s seems like a bad idea but really it adds a lot shade and it’s hardly used, I only heard a few trucks pass by during the day.
Some low tide scavenging for seashells . The water was a perfect temperature and the waves were so small.
Look who caught a jellyfish, this beach doesn’t get too many so it’s kind of exciting for to catch something from the sea. This one does sting but it’s not too bad, I offered to pee on anyone who got stung.
When the tide is out the water is so shallow you walk out over a hundred meters and it’s only waist deep. At high tide it’s chest deep. The sand is soft and goes out as far you can go. Most of the beaches in Dalian are rocky.
My friends come from a small city that is well known for clean crystal clear rivers coming from the mountains so it was an especially nice treat touch the ocean. This is the located on Dalian’s north shore in the Bohai sea. It’s a it’s a bit far from the city centre so it’s not as busy as the downtown beaches.
Looks like some nice sculptures there too.
I hope you don't have to pee on someone. :-)
