This is my entry for the @beautifulsunday and @sublimesundaychallenges hosted by @ace108 and @c0ff33a
Happy and blessed stemianos day, today I share my beautiful and sublime Sunday, a day of walking enjoying the beautiful views in Juan Griego and its fort, its spectacular sunsets and its local meals
Juan Griego is one of the largest and most important cities on Margarita Island, as it is a commercial area with great beauty, as it is bordered by an idyllic and beautiful paradise, such as Juan Griego Bay, with its waters meek and without waves with a color in different shades and when the afternoon comes you can see the most beautiful sunsets, adorned by pelicans that pose on the boats of the fishermen.
Very close to the Bay of Juangriego, there is a fantastic Fort called "The fortress of the Galera" also known as The fort of La Libertad. Its structure dates from 1811, built by order of the Patriotic Board of Margarita. It is a place full of history that is worth visiting, tooIt is famous for the different views that can be enjoyed, especially the sunset on the site, as well as the city and its surroundings. The Fort is accessed by a stone staircase, and at the top there is a platform where the canyons lined with walls are kept.
Today there are the native children of the city of Juan Griego, responsible for telling this story in a very peculiar way in exchange for a small tip, they will know why Juangriego is called that and what was the battle of Matasiete. As for the beach, it is one of the few with calm waters and is an excellent option for children or when one likes to enjoy jet skis. La Galera has that name due to a sunken ship that is located in the bay and is located at the foot of the fortress of Juangriego. For those who like the exercise, there is the option of climbing the hill that is at the bottom of the beach and when you reach the top, the view is simply spectacular.
