Today I woke to the sound of rain beating against the windows. Dashing my plans, I looked for other things I wanted to do, but, decided it was a day to clean out closets instead. Oh, the need to be clean overrode the fun in me. But, there will always be another day, another day. So, while I am cleaning closets (and no, Ace, you may not see them) I will bring you a few words and verse.

Behind those beautiful flowers, after the day is done, the air – it fills with quiet, my heart beat clearly slow. Oh, the beauty behind the flowers, it’s not in what you see. It’s those thousand tears that have fallen, the light beyond what's seen.
Cleaning the closet, I came across a treasure found in my purse: A paid lunch receipt from an unknown person. The random act rekindled in my heart, more than a year later. Wherever you are, you kind and thoughtful somebody, I think often of the acts of kindness bestowed upon me.
A whisper left upon my lips. The shadow of night caressing my soul. The stillness in my heart, as the sweetest of dreams gently kiss me goodnight.
Oh, your loveliness carries soft delicate feelings - like a warm whisper passing swiftly by.
And just like that, these musings are done. I want to thank @ace108 and @c0ff33a for hosting these challenges and just so you know, while it may still raining, I can guarantee that there is still a little sunshine left in my heart. Have a most fabulous day!

I always post this poem down at the bottom of my posts. It is one that has become so near and dear to my heart. I only post the most famous part of it, but, wanted to post it in its entirety today.
they set my aunts house on fire
i cried the way women on tv do
folding at the middle
like a five pound note.
i called the boy who use to love me
tried to ‘okay’ my voice
i said hello
he said warsan, what’s wrong, what’s happened?
i’ve been praying,
and these are what my prayers look like;
dear god
i come from two countries
one is thirsty
the other is on fire
both need water.
later that night
i held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole world
and whispered,
"where does it hurt?"
it answered,
"everywhere"

Ah yes it is a shame when the rain comes and steals away the fun! Wow no one can put in more passion in just a few words! You sure know how to use bot the pen and the camera. Always outdoing yourself, and we are always amazed! You know how I love to read your prose, and your flowers are always OMG so beautiful! Outstanding, Sunshine!
Isn't it? Darn that rain anyway!! I was all set to go to a Viking Festival and it was not only raining, but it also poured buckets, all day long.
I am so happy I could feed you a little prose and musing of sorts, the flowers just speak to me in their own way, I believe. I feel them begging me to write about them... Oh, my! I am starting to sound @ddschteinn- ish! aren't I?
Well, I could do worse, right. I would be honored to sound anything like him! LOL

Oh well if it is like our Renaissance Festival it takes place rain or shine. I have to believe it is not nearly as fun though. I like to get some photos and its a bother when your lens always gets drops on it!
Hey you! Sounds like you need a lens hood. It blocks the sun and definitely helps in the rain.
I don't usually mind the rain. I was out in San Juan not long ago in one of those torrential downpours, but, not much you can do about that except duck into someplace to keep dry for a moment. But, I am not going to pay good money to watch some drenched Viking trying to pretend he is having fun. LOL
There will be other festivals. But, yes! It was a disappointment!

I can honestly say know I do not think I have ever wanted to do that, it just never crossed my mind, but I can see me walking around the city tomorrow and so wanting to do it now

I would have had fun and left the closets for another day..... you know, just in case there WASN'T another day. Of course, you should see my house. The whole thing probably looks like your closet.... ok..... maybe not but.......

Oh, but, if I leave those closets, another day, another day, well, they will continue in their state of distress for another day, another day.

I confess I enjoyed your post. I too had someone buy my food and drinks, me and a friend we out to dinner in New Orleans years ago. The waiter told us everything was taken care of. I still remember after all these years.
Oh, you are so sweet! The first time it happened to me years ago, I was so stunned, not even because of the amount of money, but, the gesture was so heartfelt.
I can tell you that I absolutely love to do that from time to time. I would do it every day if I could. People have been so generous with me, not only with their money, but, with their time, their friendship, their love.

Oh, yes. The rain can be, can't it? For some reason, this was torrential. Usually, it is that wonderful kind of rain.
You know, walking in the rain with the one I love kind of rain? Yeah.no. This wasn't it. It was not cleansing. It was darn near flooding.
But, I do have clean closets now.

We had a cold and wet weekend as well, in fact I ended up plastering a hole in the landing ceiling my eldest boy created a year and a half ago while he was in the attic! To be fair the hole was covered by plaster board - but still kind of obvious! Any way filled it in with plaster and painted the ceiling and glossed the attic hatch which had a million grotty dirty finger prints on.
Just the landing and stair walls to paint next, come back sub so I can be outside instead!
