This picture was taken by me a while ago in Plaza Parian, Cebu City, Philippines. This sculpture was made by concrete, brass, steel and bronze. The Heritage of Cebu is an idea of the artist Eduardo Catrillo and Honorable Mayor Alvin B. Garcia. The monument was built using funds from donations given by private individuals and organizations.
The monument also shows the Basilica Santo Niño, St. John the Baptist Church, Spanish Galleon, the Cebu Metropolitant Cathedral and the Magellan's Cross.
This work of art in Parian Park is the loving legacy of the City and Province of Cebu. The construction of this monument was started on July 1997 to December 8, 2000.
