The Brave browser of the Basic Attention Token (BAT) attracted the attention of the community since the announcement of its new version compatible with all extensions of Google Chrome, the Brave 1.0.
The announcement was made yesterday, when the team mentioned that the loading time of the browser is 22% faster than the current version of it, the Brave Muon version. On this, the official Twitter account of the team, commented:
"Our new desktop browser version is 22% faster to load on average than the existing Brave Muon version, that translates to 8 seconds less to load certain websites."
Also, it is important to note that, for now, the version would be available for Windows, Mac and Linux, and that it would be based on Chromium. On the other hand, some of the new features include changes to the URL bar, improvements in privacy, bug fixes, etc.
The team conducted several tests to compare it with its current version and, according to them, the CPU usage is much more optimal in the new version, considering all the tasks that must be performed for the websites. Also, it would work perfectly with slower processors.
On the other hand, the team also noted that, from the moment of the announcement, the Brave Muon version would not be available for download on its official site, but that users who had that version could update it whenever they wish.
In addition, the Brave team will continue working with multi-core capability to improve browser speed, as well as its performance in mobile devices in the future.
Brave Software was founded by Brendan Eich, creator of JavaScript and co-founder of the Mozilla project. In addition, it would also be behind the Basic Attention Token (BAT), an ETC-20 token used for the payment of ads and profits for creating content in your browser.
