Let me just start off by saying that I am not a “Lebron hater” since I know assumptions will be made if I don't start with that disclaimer. The man is undoubtedly one of the greatest basketball players of all-time. However, let’s face it, right now the Cavaliers are not meeting most people’s expectations. Although they lost Kyrie, many people said that with the addition of Derrick Rose and Isaiah Thomas that they were actually an improved team. That clearly has not been the case. With Derrick Rose being out with another terrible injury (I swear, there is something wrong with the guy on a cellular level ☹), and with Isaiah seemingly unable to reduce his role for the good of the team, along with the tension between him and Kevin Love, it has been kind of ugly.
They just might turn a corner and come together as a team at some point, but right now the Celtics look like the superior team. They’re blessed with their amazing new rookie, Jayson Tatum, their sophomore Jaylen Brown has made improvements in his game, and Kyrie has proved that he can lead a team and step out of Lebron’s shadow. Those are just a few things they have going for them. It is a little ironic that it might be Kyrie’s team that prevents the Cavaliers from reaching the finals again, but it looks like that may just happen. What do you think?
What's your take now that the trades were done. I'm a die-hard Lakers fan from Ohio. I'm sad to see Nance go, but he will get to play where he was from. Glad Randle wasn't delt.
Thomas, that mofo doesn't deserve to even be on a team anymore. Didn't even arrive in LA yet & already saying he won't come off the bench.
That's where he's gonna be.
Cavs shipped out all their injury proned players except for Love. They improved some. But definitely can't beat the Warriors with that team.
Sorry for the delayed response. I agree that Thomas's attitude is making him look bad. When he went to Cleveland, he immediately started talking as if it was both Lebron and his team.
Randle has been looking very, very good lately.
Thomas reminds me of another Rajon Rondo. I highly doubt the Lakers resign Thomas. Magic isn't gonna want someone toxic around these decent young players.
I think Rondo fixed his attitude over the years. The younger Bulls players had a lot of respect for Rondo, but they didn't like Wade.
In my opinion Lebron is the best player right now but basketball is a team sport and a psychological war. They seems like they already lose that war. And Celtics are preparing themselves to the top level again.
Like the previous season Cavaliers are behind Celtics again. But last year you can guess Cavaliers is the team who is going to play in the finals. This year things are not going that well I think. Despite being one of the best players in NBA, LeBron's biggest mistake is to focus only one season I think. For many years he is not worried to be in a team that can go to top for many years.
It is too early to say that but I think Kyrie and his team will be more dominant if they will meet at conferance finals.
