First of all before anything I want to wish that Gordon Hayward has a very good recovery from his horrific leg break in last nights opener against the Cavs. No athlete deserves an injury like that!

Cavaliers vs Celtics

What a game I must say. There was some rust on the players even Lebron, who ended the game with 29 points,9 assists, and 16 rebounds, said at the end of the game he was out of shape. Honestly, I couldn't tell as he shot 63% from the field. The rest of the team showed some rust though. The Celtics were of course unfortunately hindered by the Hayward injury but still managed to put up a strong showing with Kyrie Irving, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown sharing the scoring load combining for 61 of the 99 total points. The final score was 102-99 with the Cavaliers taking the victory! Overall I was thoroughly entertained and apart from the injury which again is just sad and undeserving of a great player, I wish Gordon well!
Warriors vs Rockets

The Warriors started the game of reminding us all why they are champions with shots flying in early in the 1st. The Rockets quickly though reminded us that they aren't going to let that intimidate them as they rallied to come back multiple times after each onslaught from the Warriors. For the Rockets the stars of the night were, of course, Harden and Paul facilitating and surprisingly the 3-man bench of PJ Tucker, Eric Gordon, and Luc Mbah a Moute all of them combining for 89 of the Rockets total 122 points. The Warriors were spotty at times in the game they looked unstoppable and at other times they let the Rockets just creep in. The game came down to the final seconds as Kevin Durant just barely miss-timed his buzzer beater for the games winning shot as the Rockets escaped with a 122-121 Victory. This game was a shooter's dream and was very enjoyable overall a good showing from both teams.
Overall...
It was a great opening night and it was everything an NBA fan could have hoped for with close games all on the calender. It has left me very excited for the upcoming season. I just hope for a thorough and speedy recovery for Gordon Hayward!
Great opening night! I personally think Boston outplayed Cleveland but the cavs talent level barely carried them over for the W
Lebron won that game for the Cavs the rest of the team looked rusty!
Good to see you posting again, had some problems with my leugue pass, could not watch it live, so just watched it here in Amsterdam after work.
Great games!
