Minnow here....perhaps I don't understand but I think this steem system is supposed to grow through individual participation. If one games the system then it hurts those who choose to remain true to the original intent.
Think about this: If we are truly wishing to move into the new higher vibrational paradigm, then using 20th Century beliefs in selfishness will only cripple that effort. If you believe in 21st Century beliefs in cooperation, reciprocity, and fairness, then you will not game the system. It's a clear choice and the choice is yours.
It's not gaming the system since you put money out to invest in the system. and for a newbie, It's very hard to do that. The creator of this new system is also a witness of the platform. It's fair and you have the choice to vote on only good content and not just any content. The choice is up to you. Nice day my friend @kanati
