RE: Steem Basic Income - Temporary Enrollment Cap

It's a person you sponsor (you're the sponsor). Is there a good word for that? sponsoree?

The intention of Steem Basic Income is not just to create benefit for yourself, but to create benefit for others. Most members choose to sponsor other accounts that they think deserve support. For example, @sneakyninja runs a daily curation digest, 'The Daily Sneak,' and every highlighted author gets sponsored. That provides ongoing support to the featured writers, not just the single upvote/resteem that their post gets at the time of feature.

If you choose to join without sponsoring anybody, we will assign another share to an existing member that only has 1. (Keeping an even number of shares makes it easier to spot mistakes in enrollment processing - sort of like double-entry accounting!)

The vote is per post. Your weekly basic income will be distributed across all of your posts, based on your posting frequency. Read the explanation we gave @hefziba, and let us know if you have more questions.
