It’s a strange, cold start to the season.

  1. Houston Astros 8-2: Got the edge over Boston for the best start off the season.

  2. Boston Red Sox 8-2: I gave the #1 spot to Houston because Boston keeps beating up on the lowly Rays.

  3. New York Mets (incomp): The rotation is back as they lead the league in ERA.

  4. Arizona D-Backs 7-2: The pitching is getting it done in the desert.

  5. Pittsburgh Pirates 7-2: The Buccos are second in the league in batting right now, .278, and third in runs with 53. Who saw that coming?

  6. Los Angeles Angels 7-3: 3 homers and perfect game into the 7thfor Ohtani.

  7. San Francisco Giants 4-4: The pitching has stepped up big time in MadBums absence.

  8. Atlanta Braves 6-4: The young Braves lead the league in average, OBP and runs. Wow.

  9. Seattle Mariners 4-3: Robinson Cano is playing like the Robinson Cano that signed the mega contract. He’s hitting .440 to start the season.

  10. Minnesota Twins 4-3: Wait, it snows in Minneapolis?

  11. Toronto Blue Jays 6-4: A bit lucky to be in the position they are in giving up the most home runs in the majors. Injuries haven’t helped either.

  12. Colorado Rockies 5-5: Ran into the surprising Braves at the wrong time.

  13. New York Yankees 5-5: 2 golden sombreros and a chorus of boos for Stanton over the weekend.

  14. Chicago Cubs 5-4: Took 3 of 4 from their suddenly tenacious northern neighbors.

  15. Milwaukee Brewers 5-5: Not a strong start at home, 2-5, where they are normally reliable.

  16. Washington Nationals (incomp): Zimmerman, .115, is the ying to Harper’s, 5 homers, yang.

  17. St. Louis Cardinals 4-5: They rank near the middle of the pack in almost every offensive and pitching categories. They are an average team.

  18. Baltimore Orioles 4-6: 3 out of 4 from the Yankees over the weekend with 2 extra innings victories.

  19. Detroit Tigers 4-4: 26 players have more home runs than the Tigers. 4-4 is a blessing.

  20. Philadelphia Phillies 3-5: It just the first week but the classic Philly overreaction is how long with Gabe Kapler remain as their manager.

  21. Chicago White Sox 3-5: The ChiSox have come back down to earth with 3 straight losses to the equally lowly Tigers.

  22. Cleveland Indians 4-5: Hitting only .161 on the young season. That won’t get it done.

  23. Los Angeles Dodgers 3-6: Kershaw doesn’t have a win in his 3 starts. Not acceptable.

  24. Oakland Athletics 4-7: Watch this boring baseball team at your own risk.

  25. San Diego Padres 2-8: Their record doesn’t really equate to how hard they’ve played during this brutal opening stretch.

  26. Texas Rangers 4-7: The countdown begins as we see how long Hamels remains with the Rangers.

  27. Miami Marlins 3-6: They now have as many home runs as Angels rookie Shohei Ohtani with 3.

  28. Kansas City Royals 2-5: 16 runs and the second worst batting average in 7 games. Ugly.

  29. Cincinnati Reds 2 -6: Just happy they aren’t last in every category.

  30. Tampa Bay Rays 1-8: They need to stop playing Boston.

Baseball is the nice game play this game

😂😂 So true about the Tampa Rays

So I'm guessing your power rankings are in regards to current record? Rather than potential?
