History near us

As I stated in a previous post, some cities live with real part of history near us.

Just one sample, this:

In Barcelona (easy for me! ;) ) where you can find a part of a roman aqueduct, built, maybe, first century (Yes... 1st century...), that was bringing water to the city for nearly 800 years (until IXth century).

You can touch it (in the photo, the yellow lane is for cleaning... not keeping distance), so you have history at the reach of your hand (literally).

How do you feel when you have, in front of you, a construction that have seen how governments, evolution, wars and technology born, grow and fade away or modifies how people act?

This is a part most people don't see, as it is near the cathedral and the old town, just at the side of a medieval gate, but I think it's worth of it to stop and take a look at it and enjoy of history elements in front of you.
