There was an interestting scene at Pla.España. At the Av. Maria Cristina of Barcelona vitnesed the scene on this weekend of a peculiar show. Buses up to a hundred years old was on display from Saturday afternoon, from 3.30 pm to 8 pm, so that anyone can see them. On Sunday, the vehicles will start a rally that will take them from Bacelona to Caldes de Montbui, passing through the towns of Montcada i Reixac, Llagostera, Santa Perpetua de Mogoda and Palau-Solità i Plegamans, where they will make short stops so that their citizens also Can admire them.
The initiative, organized by the TMB Foundation, Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB), the Sagalés bus company and the Association for the Recovery and Preservation of Buses (ARCA), will allow to see, for the first time, the historic two- Aclo 410, which has been recently restored. Built in 1948, this gem of the motor was in the eighties as the endearing Zoobus of the Catalan capital.
Other models that will be part of the exhibition are the US-made Dodge 265 from 1936 and the Chausson 59 from 1955, which belong to the TMB Foundation. Sagalés will bring the Hispano Suiza model of 1909 and the Ford AA of 1929. Soler i Sauret the Chevrolet Ayats of 1993, Alsa a Pegaso Z of 1959, and a Pegaso 5031 of 1969 and the microbus Sava of 1972, owned by ARCA.
This edition is also attended by international operators such as the RAPT, the Paris Public Transport Consortium, the Brussels Intercompany Transport Company (STIB), and Grenoble Associations and Individuals.
The exhibition wants to make a first step in adapting the static exhibition to people with reduced mobility so that they can also enjoy the classic buses.
On Sunday, vehicles can still be seen before their departure to Caldes de Montbui. From 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., people who want to observe these jewels from the past will be able to do so and, why not, dismiss the entourage in their departure. The residents of Caldes de Montbui will have the opportunity to see the cars that will be installed on arrival at the town of El Tint and Plaça Catalunya until 3 pm.
