The Banks do you Love Them or Hate Them

in #banks7 years ago

Well what can we say about banks, apart from they will steal from there own mothers if you give them the chance, so do not give them that chance.

Never keep much money in your bank at this precarious time, as when the banks fail bang goes the money you live on or your savings or your pension. Once you put your money in the bank it belongs to them, have you tried taking out a large sum of money out.

I went to the bank to take out £15,000 and i got my account manager pull me into the office and he said, what do you want the money for, i told him, he tried to say well your money is better of in the bank and you can only take out a certain amount at any one time, wait a minute this is my money not yours and what i want to do with is up to me as long as it is legal whats the problem.

Then you get all the bullshit that banks give you, but he said what he can do is let me take out £1,000 out of the cash machine, now you tell me does that seem like the listening bank.

Warning get your money out of dodge before the bank robbers get there, ops sorry they run the banks

As far as I see it banks are there for you to use, not for them to use you.
I can't believe they didn't let you withdraw more than that amount, they may not even had 15k at the branch they could give away but the fact that they limit you is very alarming and I would definitely try to find a bank that wouldn't do that.
It would probably work better if you told them you are going to transfer everything you have into a different bank if they didn't give you what you wanted or that you would like to close your account and get everything out now but I guess that would also be a problem...

I've been gradually moving savings from a big bank into a local credit union, which pays dividends and is socially responsible and engaged with the community in various ways. I just started stacking silver, love the stuff, but I think I will be moving to Gold Sovereigns for more reliable long-term hedging.

Very true i only pay bills with money in my bank

Banks are handy for certain things, but I never keep more than five grand in one at any given time. Spread it all about. Different banks (and not in one country/jurisdiction!), physical bullion, goldmoney.com, the Royal Mint's Signature Gold thing, crypto, and even Paypal can be used as a form of temporary wealth storage. Main thing is to have wealth work for you though, and bricks and mortar's the only straightforward way for that, if you don't have time to keep on top of the stocks and shares.

if you are in cCanada gold money is great, I just bought 25 1oz bars at £13.16 with vat that works out at £16 not bad for UK

I can't believe that your bank did that to you.
I remember when I sent 200 dollars worth of money to my debit card, after a few days my bank called me and asked me about where the money came from. I mean I am not laundering money and the amount isn't that big for them to call me up for that.

Wow! you too? I have had my day with the banks too. Back when I left the last job that I had in 2012 October. I opted to receive my Retirement in full as per the amount that I put in, for one, I was too young (58) to receive the retirement and there was talk in the state of Alabama to cut the retirement pensions. So I waited and finally the money came in. I deposited the $17,000 of the 23,000 after taxes. and the bank informed me that I would have to wait a period of 30 days before I would be able to access the funds.
One the VERY day that my funds were to be available, I checked and there were several withdrawls of thousands of dollars to non-profits like March of Dimes. The bank was of no help. According to them they were unable to identify to me who moved the funds. In response they offered me the advise was to call each company and ask for my money back. Luckily I had no problem. But I was furious with the bank. I began to shop at Apmex and purchase large and small quantities of silver platenum and gold, mostly silver.
But, as was in the past... fate hit me.. the price of silver dropped from the purchase price and when sales were necessary for me to live on the money or get repairs, food and etc. I lost a lot of the value. I am used to sitting on my stacking and holding for the long term.
Never-the-less I ended up needing to use the majority of it to date. I still have a small holding, but not of near the value that warrents a guard dog.
I had low mintage halves from the early 1800's quarters, dimes and nickles. I love the mintage coinage of the 1800's and early 1900's due to the fantastic artwork on the coins. But lately some time has been spent on some bullion to equal the quality of artsmanship on the newer bullion like the Trivium and the others that you were showing just the other day.
I am so very glad to have found another silver bug like me and look forward to continuing to keep in touch and communicate, and share posts.
Take care my friend.

Do you go to bank and coin roll get dollars see if any are 90% or 60% silver seen people get loads on youtube

I used to. And I used to get rolls of Susan B Anthony Dollars to look for near dates. I just noticed that in the last few years that 2009 P and D nickels and dimes in the US are worth more money because that year the mint stopped production early. 30 thousand instead of the usual 400 thousand. I checked ebay against the you tube video and YES they are selling $2.00 rolls for 40 some odd dollars.
One draw back to me right now though is since my car had to be sold for junk a few hundred dollars last week, I don't have the freedom to go where I want, when I want. I am at the mercy of the few neighbors that are kind enough only to ask me when they are going to a particular store if I care to go This is maybe once a week or so. I tried to entice them into the coin collecting for the rolls of dimes and nickels, they were kind so they didn't say no, but they won't say yes. Hopefully I can continue to be lucky and save more money towards some cheap but reliable replacement as I have usually done in the past. I may have a post in that regard in a day or so. Memorabilia on my past car ownership since I left home.
But I had sold 2 2010 Lincoln dollars that were graded 70 in PCGS for 60 dollars each and put that money into COINBASE on litecoins. at this time the value has dropped from 200 to 186 since I entered in. I am patient and can't buy any cars at this time with just a couple hundred and the funds in lightcoin, so I will be awhile. The cheapest cars I have seen are early 1990 cars with out air conditioning and they are going anywhere from 1,500 to 2000 each.
I can't wait to be able to come and go when I want again. all stores are a good 2 and a half miles from me and no public transportation is readily available except for taxis which are outrageous.
I remain committed and patient so as to not stress over this issue. I had been stocking and storing food in my pantry so I have plenty of canned veggies and meats and freeze dried foods to rely on in dire situations, I just didn't plan on hitting them so soon. But, thanks to my few neighbors, I can get to the stores, IE.. Walmart and such every so often. Hopefully I can get one to carry me to the bank. :)

I bought some rolls of dollars at $2 will get them graded there are a lot of ones with errors in where the A is further away, just got back a error 2014 sovereign. one side was frosted will the otherwise was like a bullion strike.
Check out Numistacker on youtube he sends all my coins to NGC check out his latest ones the coins are all mine. Justed checked not up yet will send you link.

I haver not eaten a Macdonalds for a year do not drink coke or Pepsi stay of junk food, will kill you, did have a Pepsi a month ago was thirsty, my teeth ended up hurting for days and I mean real pain, won't be doing that again.
The crash is coming so be prepared good luck

So... you are into what I like to do. Analyzing circulation coins from the bank rolls. WOW!! Yes, it is a good thing to have the coins graded by a company certified and accepted by the major collectors. PGCS and NGC are very good grading companies. However, I have never been able to use them for to grade coins that I had. It would have been a great idea.
Yes I try to stay away from McDonald land food and all those foods prepared for you. I like to poison myself with my own cooking (LOL) . but seriously, I know what you mean, a lot of those foods purchased at McDonalds is questionable. I don't use cokes or Pepsi either. I used to but learned that there are some mysterious ingredients. I usually filter my water in a gravity filtration system purchased online years ago that supposidly cleans out 99 percent of the junk and poisons out of the water. I will check out Numistacker on you tube. Thank you for being a new friend to me..

Hi gunni55 had bad cold for a week now but feeling better, I think people need to wake up a smell the roses as they say, the government are meant to help but they never do, most people are left to fend for themselves and don't get help, I never rely on government I look after my family and friends,

I am trying to show people help and share and the karma will be returned 10 fold, I like to see people laugh and smile it takes the worry away, thats why I do giveaways to show people its not just about me, I want people to help each other which in the long run will help themselves, used to be like that,

The big corporations are killing society we need to fight back, we could show them easy, a 1 day complete boycott of Macdonalds or Walmart in USA OR Tesco in UK, THAT WOULD SHOW EM.

We have the real power but we let them ride roughshod over us.

Keep going we will get there

Britcoin... without any further delay, I would like to say a few personal things. One that my name is Tim, in case you would prefer to call me by my given. Number two, that I was drawn to you by the mercies of your heart and the warmth for others, not for the give-a-ways. There are lots of contests and give-a-ways, (not that I wouldn't benefit from winning one, but I never do, but always try)but I am really looking for people like you. I feel so touched by your concerns for people being duped by the banks. I have been as well. But, you are one tough cookie to carry the band on into the night whereas, I seem to get tired of the people just seeming to hear me and then change the subject. I feel they just don't take my "blowing my horn" seriously. So, I reliquish my attempts. But I charge you on and am with you, my friend.
This morning I put up a new post... https://steemit.com/finance/@gunni55/what-is-going-on-with-cryptocurrency
I am hoping people pay some mind to this one, but I fear they won't.
I am so glad you are back. I have missed talking to one so warm of heart and kind as you. If I were to not find anyone else on here to talk to, you have made it worth the while to have come to steemit.
Thank you my friend, and I am glad you are okay.. I was getting concerned.

In my native country I must tell the bank how much I want to withdraw and wait at least two days to receive the money (if it is more than around U$1,500.00). SOV.

Well I would NEVER trust my money with banks! I rather store it in the form of precious metal and property!

Sov.

I love to hate them! :) Sov.
