There will be a total of 40 transponders in the Bangabandhu satellite. Of these 20 transponders will be kept for use in Bangladesh. The remaining 20 transponders will be kept for sale to any foreign company.
Bangladesh will own its own satellites as the 57th country in the world after successfully being in space. The location of Bangabandhu satellite in space will be 119.1 degree East longitude.

France's Thales Alenia Space has created the main structure of the Bangabandhu-1 satellite. On March 30, the Cape Cannaveral Launch PAD Satellite in Florida, USA, arrives in France on a special aircraft. This orbit has been purchased for 15 years in the 119.91 East longitime space of about 219 million rupees. Total cost of implementing the project is Tk 2,990 crore Of this, Tk 1,544 crores is being given from the government fund. And as a loan, multinational bank HSBC gives Tk 1,358 crore
