A lot to say about that. Having some mécènes upvoting your work is good for a lot of writers, artists. Of course, money corrupts your mind, art and you can become lazy just write mainstream or one line post. But you have to remember that some people are not here for mainly for the money. There are some fun communities here and the interaction is what makes you come back. Those communities deserve to have those automatic votes, if not they just split and leave like golos and the russian community.

The real problem is that the value of people work is, sadly, just equal to money/rewards... We have a lot of great content but no one cares about them once they are too old. WHY? Did steemians forget that the goal was to build a community and not just a get-rich-quickly scheme?

I am having fun here and that's the main reason why I come back everyday. I try to work hard to build what I think is a good platform as a writer(@jyezie) or as a witness(@cryptohazard).
