Seeing the great leaders face and proclamations daily. Sounds like Mao Zedong doesn't it? Living in fear of reprisals, wars, changes to laws, and general scarcity of healthy resources? Sounds like life under Joseph Stalin. The U.S. and so many other countries live under a new modern sense of political impotence. The more things "change" politically, the more they stay the same; we all follow the instructions of a cabal of leaders and their minions.
Despite living in the information age (misinformation age??) we suffer from a strong reality perception of being unable to link, communicate, or effectively change most anything. The general will of the people, in continued poll after poll, shows that over 80% demand dramatic change and revitalization of priorities such as healthcare, education, environment, food safety, and consumer protection... yet nothing changes.
In living in authoritarian times we have the great gift from our political masters of being able to choose between corporate political party 1A or corporate political part 1B. We have the great freedom to live in a militarized state and militarized empire, and if we don't like it we have the freedom to hear, "you are either for us, or against us !!".
We have the great ability in feigning freedom when told to consume all the media propaganda, we have the great responsibility to salute the military-industrial-complex sponsored flag as the next wave of the battalions of conquerors and empire builders march to foreign lands, and we have the infinite liberty to sit in silence as our Constitution bows to traitorous corporations, usurping politicians, and the megalomaniac on the throne.

Actions need to be done. Silence is never the best answer. And over the years it’s sad how this silence has risen but I feel like things are starting to change. I feel the energy of change and improvements. It’s slow tho but people are definitely getting wiser year after year
Very nice post.It is said that the democratic government is for the people by the people and of the people. but today's government are seen not in favour of the people, people's needs. This is the paradox.

Self destruction seems eminent, whenever signs like these show it just means countries are going to slowly die within.
What happens to the circle, when the centre of slowly starts die? the circle also dies. America is that centre and it's imperialistic expansion is not going to stop the slow disintegration of society from the inside.

I agree with most of the points described in this post. Regardless of what party we vote for, we get the war party. Our two party system has resulted in us getting to choose between two mob families, neither of which have our best interest in mind. What i don't buy is that Trump is some type of autocrat. His administration is at war with the bureaucracy and it's largely restricted what he's able to do. An autocrat rarely has such problems to worry about. He's also not demonstrably different than our previous leaders. The main difference is he's rude and doesn't mind saying anything he's thinking. But really, what is so different? We are still bombing third world countries, we are still dramatically overspending which will lead to our ruin, and civil liberties continue to erode. The problem we have is that our government and especially has way to much power. If you drastically reduce the power of the government, than who is in charge becomes much less important.
