How often do I need to re-subscribe with 1 HIVE?

Or is it 1 HIVE forever service?

AND! Why 1 HIVE?? Where does it go? It's not as if you are manually claiming for us, it is automated script after all.. I understand creating was work, but why not just 0.001 or even 0.5 HIVE to start the service? (I'm just being a twit, the jist of my question is legit, the rest I'm just being cheeky about)
