RE: Pink Disease, Mercury & links to Autism

in #autism7 years ago

The word "disease" is not really accurate it should be called poisoning. Years ago I was involved in legal cases involving lead poisoning. While researching the issue I became convinced that exposure to lead was only one factor in the poisoning and its effects. The biggest factor, in my opinion, was diet more specifically a lack of iron. As best I could tell the body would only use lead as a last resort. If a child had enough iron in their diet the effects of lead exposure was negligible. I wonder if the aluminum and mercury is similar to lead in as much as anyone with a proper diet is less effected by the exposure. Excellent post.
