5 reasons to live in Australia.

in #australia7 years ago

When you think about Australia what comes in your head first? Paradisiac beaches, natural pools, surf, koalas, kangaroos and many adventures. Right?

The rumors are indeed true and in the 'fun' question Australia does not leave anything to be desired.

But for those who leave their country to start life in a new place, the demands go far beyond just fun, people want to learn something new, gain new experiences and have the opportunity to live a fair life.

So why to choose Australia?

Here I tell you what makes Aus the most popular country of international students and all those who want a chance to start over.

  1. Security

Safety first. Lack of security was a deciding point for me leaving my country.

A homicide rate in Australia is established as the lowest in the world, with 0.8 for every 100,000 inhabitants on the OECD average of 4.0. Another impressive number is the number of robbery victims, which declined in the year between 2015 and 2016 (9% - 927 fewer victims), according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

The Aussies take enforcement seriously, and you can see this day by day. Fines are strictly enforced if you do not fulfill your citizenship duties.

Talking about this in a more practical way, you will feel safe by walking on the street, regardless of the time, without worrying about being in a follow up by some stranger. You can go to ATM taking your money quietly and you won't worry about if there is someone bad-intentioned on your side. When you go to the beach you leave your belongings in the sand if you decide to go dive in the ocean, your belongs will be in the same place where you've left it when you return.

I know, this should all be something normal, but it's not. We all know that the reality of some places is so far different of it. You feel free to come and go anywhere, to live life in a lighter way and not feel trapped due to the fear of suffering some kind of abuse, from an assault to an improper sung by another person for example. It is just the best Feeling that exist. That's what I call freedom and Australia gives you that.

PS: Risks exist anywhere, it is not generalize and talk that is not possible, but as chances are much smaller. In any case, it is worth remembering that prevention will always be a better alternative

  1. Cultural Diversity

In my opinion of all that Australia has to offer multiculturalism is the "Master Piece". For the simple fact that you have the opportunity to meet / live with people from every corner of this world.

The Australian population is multicultural, young and open-minded, one of the most encouraging countries being immigration (for qualified people and willing to build a modern society).

Australians are proud of their sympathy and multiculturalism. They generally live safely in pleasant surroundings, and have a sophisticated and harmonious society. Many ethnic groups are represented in Australia, making it one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world.

Together and mixed up! Being able to experience different cultures enriches you, makes you see the world in a broader way and adds new values to your life.

  1. Climate

"I live in a tropical country, blessed by God and beautiful by nature ..."

If you ask immigrants / exchangers around the world why they chose Australia I guarantee that 90% will say that the climate was an important factor. And it is!

Australia's climate, in general, is very similar to Brazil. Both are located in the Southern Hemisphere, making the seasons begin and end on the same dates. For us Brazilians, adapting in Australia is very easy.

The seasons are very intense as well as almost everything there. Summer is extremely hot and Winter it is very cold.
Each region has its particularity, the North of Australia compared to the Brazilian Northeast, the winter practically does not exist there . In other hand, Winter in NSW and Victoria / Melbourne you can find to ski stations.

Positive point: Winter is short. I believe this feeling is because the cold and the heat are constantly changing.

Negative point: Wind so much all year.

  1. Quality of life

Among the 10 cities with the best quality of life, four are located in Australia being then Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Perth. Eleven (11) categories was evaluated and Nine (9) had the highest score, so Australia leads the ranking of Countries with the best quality of life in the world.

What I feel is that in Australia you can have the power to decide how you want to live your life. You can choose to work hard and make some extra money or you can work less and have more time to enjoy the beaches, friends and family.

If you have a casual job, there is greater flexibility in deciding the days you can work, so you can take a few extra days off to make that shorter trip and get to know a different place. Of course, always negotiating with the employer in advance.

Contact with nature also leaves life lighter and with better quality, you can enjoy beautiful beaches or parks after a tiring day of work.

Despite being a constant pressure live away from your comfort zone. It is very rewarding for you to finish your day and look at where you are, and the quality of life you have.

  1. Work

Another point that makes Australia so attractive to immigrants is that YOU can work legally.

Australia offers Work Visa for some nationalities, it can be a good way to take a gap year and still make extra money. In this visa you can stay for 12 months from the date of entry into the Country, and can extend for another year if you are willing to work for 3 months in designated rural areas of Aus.

With the student visa you can legally work for 40 fortnightly. What is a great vantage because it helps a lot with the expenses during the stay in the Country, especially if the stay is long.
