How do objects look like when nature takes over? Plants seem to be destined to take over whenever they can. Nature seems to always win. I have no idea how long this church in Scotland has been left alone by humans, but look: nature knows it can do whatever and is almost finished eating up the whole facade of this church!
This is one of those objects I can come back to in maybe 5 years and knowing how fast these climbers can grow I imagine the stones that are still visible now will have been swallowed whole.

The Netherlands are 'the best' at cleaning up stuff, so that leaves me without a lot of subjects to photograph. well you have an abandoned mine in my second part of first photo trip, i was fixated on other stuff so i did not explore it. if you ever come to Serbia there some abandoned palaces (its more like old vilas) in Vojvodina. I posted some in abandoned contest and some i plan to visit. We had and idea for one of them, with costumes and stuff but money and time.
Oh MY! Yes, I need to come to Serbia :D I'll bring a dramatic red dress and we can do a photo shoot LOL!

One of the most impressing abandoned locations we've visited so far was the fortress of Kotor in Montenegro. The whole country is worth a trip!

Excellent entry. For finding that kind of Stuff, avoid the richest central countries and try Portugal, Spain, Italy... Or even better, the former Soviet Republics.
Also... The further away you get from city centers, the more likely you are to find abandoned stuff.

Nice photo of some abandoned shit! I wish I had a list of places for you to check out my Europe is still on my list! I’ve shot abandoned places all over the United States but it’s nothing compared to what Europe has to offer. Cheers!
