Don't you think this would be a torture more than a super-power? Just imagine to be aware of the bad thinkings of everyone that might be close to you or things like this :P
No, If I have the ability to read mind I can control it right? Look at the flip side of the coin, imagine to be aware of all the happy things that everyone is thinking! I think if I could read peoples minds and were aware of the bad, it would give me a chance to help them.
