RE: AskSteemit: Who are your favorite Steemians and why?

in #asksteemit7 years ago (edited)

I think my absolute favourite Steemian is @NoNamesLeftToUse The Writer/Artist Himself. (Yes, that is his whole name, and no, there is no comma, which I learned the hard way when he called me out on it.)

I met him in chat when I was brand new, and my first posting transaction on the Steem platform was commenting on his blog. He makes some kickass weird abstract art; you can always find at least 3 different faces in any given piece, if you're looking. He usually writes a wacky and funny story to go along, too (hence his name). Even though the character he portrays in his writing/art posts is often bouncing-off-the-walls crazy, he's actually a very level-headed guy who really cares for the people and gives back to his followers and the platform.

Let me start by clarifying I don't disparage people for taking SBD out of the system. We're humans. Humans have to eat. But @NoNamesLeftToUse has never even drawn a salary from his work here. Everything he makes, last I checked, goes to purchase and power-up STEEM, unless he's donating to a prize pool for a comedy competition. Again, this could change at any point and I think he would deserve that change. But it's just icing on the cake. The guy really cares for what we're building here and shows it with his actions, on both Steemit and the ledger.

I see what you did here. Thank you for this.

Lol, stalker! It was my pleasure.

Also, FML. I just read through it again and realised I buggered up your name. Must have been what I call "Steem Brain." It works like this... when you replace your sleep time with Steem time for weeks on end, you get Steem Brain. Fixed it now.

You have no idea how much I dislike finding out I've made a typographical error. I might rather endure actual physical pain. What's worse-- I may be able to edit it here, but it will be on the blockchain forever.

I should probably just delete my account and start over. Wait-- blockchain. Shit!

Don't worry. I've left thousands of mistakes on this blockchain. I survived!
